My name is Marikaki(they), I am a queer non-binary poet from Athens, and I moved to Amsterdam for my Master’s in Critical Studies at the Sandberg Instituut.
Alongside my studies, I’m also looking for work. I currently work as an Artistic Coordinator in a studio with artists with intellectual disabilities and neurodivergent artists. In Amsterdam, I imagine I will be working in a café or bar. In Athens, I’m part of the queer and artistic/poetic scene, with a very close community of friends that I will miss. This is also my first time doing something like this, but I’m really excited about moving and building new communities. I’m also involved in political movements, so I’m used to more collective ways of living, but due to my work, studies, and writing, I also need quite a lot of personal space and quiet time.
I am vegetarian, with long periods of vegan eating, so a riendly household would be a big plus for me. When I’m at home, I usually work or study, so I’m quite quiet and a bit in need of quite and clean space. Ideally, I would love to bring my cat with me (3-year-old male).
